Potato Biscuit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cooked potatoes
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 level tsp. baking powder
    1/2 level tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    about 3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Boil and mash the potatoes, having them free from lumps.
    Sift the flour, salt and baking powder;
    add the potatoes and cut in the shortening.
    Mix to a light dough with the egg and milk; roll out a little thinner than ordinary biscuit and bake in a hot oven. Serve as soon as done.
