Mary'S Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/4 c. milk, scalded
3 Tbsp. oil
self-rising flour
1/2 c. warm water
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
-
Dissolve yeast in the warm water. Scald the milk and set aside to cool to lukewarm.
Put sugar and oil in a large mixing bowl. Add the milk and mix well.
Add the yeast mixture and the cold water. Stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough. Pour onto a floured board and knead until easy to handle, place into a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Take out and knead again, then pinch off a little dough at a time and make into rolls, put into a greased 12 or 13 x 9 x 2-inch sheet pan, let rise for about 1 hour and bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for about 15 minutes or until a golden brown.
