French Toast With Cream Cheese - cooking recipe

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 loaf bread, sliced
1/4 c. margarine
6 eggs, beaten
1/3 c. milk
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 jar strawberry jam
powdered sugar
Preparation

Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla, mixing until well blended.
Spread margarine into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.
Put in oven to melt.
Remove from oven.
Mix beaten eggs, milk and nutmeg.
Dip bread into egg mixture to coat all sides well.
Place in jelly roll pan; bake 7 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Turn and bake 7 more minutes or until browned.
Sprinkle toast with powdered sugar; serve with strawberry jam.
