Gramma'S Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. dried navy beans
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 c. Barbados molasses
    1/3 c. olive oil
    1 or 2 onions (depending on taste)
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight.
    Boil with a teaspoon of baking soda until tender.
    Drain.
    Place in cooker with other ingredients. Add fresh water, just to cover.
    Simmer about 6 hours, stirring and adding water as needed.
    When nearly done, taste for saltiness and sweetness.
    Correct sweetness with sugar.
