Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. vegetable oil
6 oz. can sliced mushrooms
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1 large bell pepper, cut into strips
2 lb. shelled and deveined shrimp, fresh or frozen
2 medium onion, sliced
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper, optional
2 cans (16 oz.) tomatoes
Preparation

Heat oil and cook bell pepper and onions until tender.
Add flour and seasoning, mix well.
Add tomatoes, stirring constantly until thickened.
Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Add raw shrimp and cook 5-10 minutes more.
Serve over cooked rice.
8-10 servings.
