Ingredients

1 lb. box brown sugar
1 1/4 c. shortening
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. white sugar
5 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts
5 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation

Cream together shortening, brown and white sugar.
Sift flour with baking powder and add alternately with milk.
Add nuts and vanilla.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake in greased Bundt pan for 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
