Saucy Ham And Potato Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. onion
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 lb. ham, cut into 1/8-inch slices
    6 c. cooked potato slices
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add 1 1/2 cups cheese. Stir until melted.
    Toss potatoes in cheese sauce.
    Pour into 2-quart casserole.
    Arrange ham on top of casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
    Return to oven for 10 minutes longer until cheese is melted and bubbly.
    Makes 6 servings.
