Tortiere(French Canadian Meat Pie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 2 double crust pies
    1 lb. lean ground pork
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. sage
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    any additional favorite herbs
Preparation
    Saute pork and beef with onion until meat is cooked.
    Drain off fat.
    Add mashed potatoes, herbs and seasonings.
    Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells; cover with top crust and seal edges.
    Make a few vent holes in top crust.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes or until crust is cooked.
    Makes 8 servings.
