Candy Cane And Wreath Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. butter
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    red and green food color or paste
    1 egg white, lightly beaten
    red and green decorating sugar
    cinnamon candies
Preparation
    Cream butter in large mixing bowl.
    Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg and flavorings.
    Combine flour and salt.
    Gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Set aside half of the dough.
    Divide remaining half into 2 parts.
    Tint one part green and the other red with food color or paste.
    Keep dough chilled for easy handling.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
