Double Layer Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 Tbsp. Karo syrup
    1/2 c. cream or whole milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add syrup and cream.
    Cook to soft ball (firm) stage.
    Add butter, vanilla and nuts, if desired.
    Pour into buttered pan.
