Buttermilk Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cook sugar and buttermilk in iron skillet.
    Stir often.
    Cook to soft ball candy stage.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Stir; add pecans.
    Set off heat; stir until sugary.
    Pour into greased platter and cut.
