Skillet Macaroni Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter/margarine
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    3 1/2 c. milk
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. macaroni
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter in a large, covered skillet over medium heat.
    Add onion and cook until tender, but do not brown.
    Stir while cooking.
    Add flour and salt, stirring to make a fine paste.
    Add milk, stirring as you add, making a smooth mix.
    Add macaroni. Cover skillet and bring to a boil.
    Lower heat and cook 15 minutes or until tender.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add cheese and stir until melted.
    Do not allow mixture to boil.
    Serves 6 to 8.
