Jam Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oil
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Combine flour and sugar in a mixing bowl.
    Add oil, egg and milk to dry ingredients.
    Stir quickly with a fork until the dry ingredients are moistened.
    The batter should be lumpy.
    Spoon batter into greased muffin cups until they are half full.
    Add 1 teaspoon of jam.
    Cover with remaining batter.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven until brown.
