Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
2/3 c. flour
2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
sweet milk
1 small onion, chopped fine

Preparation

Mix all ingredients using enough milk to make mixture smooth. Drop mixture by spoonfuls into deep fat (380\u00b0) or oil. Cook until golden brown. Drain and serve.
