Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. commercial sour cream
1 Tbsp. maple flavoring
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugars and eggs thoroughly.
Stir in sour cream and vanilla.
Measure flour.
Stir together flour, soda and salt.
Blend in.
Mix in nuts.
Chill dough if soft.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
Bake about 10 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched lightly.
Spread with Maple Butter Glaze.
