Bride'S Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    5 Tbsp. warm water
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut in shortening.
    Add buttermilk.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add to mixture. Blend lightly.
    Roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut out. Dough may be stored in refrigerator or cut out and frozen.
    Makes approximately 5 dozen.
