Old Fashioned Beef Pot Pie Or Yankee Pot Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. stew meat
6 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 medium potatoes
1 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. minced onion
Preparation

Cook meat in salt water until tender.
Remove meat from broth. Add onion to broth.
Bring to boiling point and add alternate layers of cubed potatoes and squares of dough.
Make sure your dough has been rolled out very thin.
To make pot pie dough, beat egg and add milk and flour to make a stiff dough.
Roll out thin in squares.
Keep broth boiling while adding dough in order to keep them from packing together.
Cover; cook on low for about 20 minutes.
Add more water if needed.
This is delicious with buttered bread.
