7-Up Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. eggs (4 to 5)
    3 c. plain sifted flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 bottle 7-Up (7 oz.)
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugar together.
    Add eggs and continue beating.
    Add flour alternate with vanilla and lemon extract and 7-Up.
    Bake in large tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    If desired, Seven Minute Icing may be used.
