Ingredients

1 c. and 2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
6 Tbsp. granulated sugar
6 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
1 pkg. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
Blend butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water.
Beat in egg.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Stir in dates and pecans.
Drop by half teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
