Chocolate Covered Banana Pops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 large bananas
9 wooden ice cream sticks
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. chopped, unsalted roasted peanuts
Preparation

Peel bananas and cut each into thirds.
Insert wooden stick into each banana piece.
Place on waxed paper covered tray.
Cover and freeze until firm.
In top of double boiler over hot water, melt chocolate chips and shortening.
You may also melt chocolate and shortening in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Remove bananas from freezer.
Dip each piece into chocolate and cover completely.
Allow excess to drip off.
Roll in peanuts.
Cover and return to freezer.
Serve frozen.
