English Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
12 Hershey chocolate bars
Preparation

Combine butter, sugar and water in large saucepan.
Cook, stirring frequently, until candy reaches 300\u00b0 (hard crack) on candy thermometer.
Quickly stir in vanilla and carefully pour into greased jelly roll pan.
While still warm, place unwrapped Hershey bars on top.
Spread evenly when chocolate melts.
You may sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired.
When cool and chocolate has set, break into pieces.
