Sour Cream Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

1 egg
1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. dairy sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat egg until frothy; beat in sugar and butter or margarine; cream until fluffy.
Add sour cream and vanilla; blend well.
Sift dry ingredients together; add to sour cream mixture.
Blend thoroughly.
Pour into greased 8-inch square pan.
Sprinkle brown sugar topping evenly over batter.
Bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0) for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
Serve warm.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
