Barbecued Black-Eyes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dried black-eyed peas
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 lb. ground beef
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. commercial barbecue sauce
    1 Tbsp. mustard
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Cook peas in boiling water with salt until peas are barely tender.
    Add more water if necessary.
    Pour off half of liquid. Brown ground beef and onion; add to peas.
    Stir in barbecue sauce, mustard and sugar.
    Bake at 200\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
