Pita Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. hot water
    1 envelope dry yeast
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    In a bowl, combine sugar, salt and hot water; stir to dissolve sugar and salt.
    Allow to cool to lukewarm.
    Sprinkle yeast over and allow to dissolve.
    Add flour 1/2 cup at a time.
    Turn dough onto floured surface and knead thoroughly.
    Divide into 12 small pieces and roll into balls.
    With rolling pin, roll each ball into 5-inch circle.
    Place on baking sheet.
    Bake at 500\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes or until puffed and golden.
    Yields 12 rounds.
