Herbed Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. dried basil, crushed
    1/4 tsp. thyme, crushed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 1/2 c. finely shredded, peeled sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. finely chopped green onions
    1/2 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
Preparation
    Stir together flour, baking powder, lemon peel, soda, basil, thyme and salt.
    Combine egg, potatoes, onions, sour cream and margarine; add to the dry ingredients.
    Stir just until moistened. On floured surface, put dough into an 8-inch square.
    Cut dough in half; cut each half crosswise into 8 strips.
    Place strips on a greased baking sheet.
    Brush with additional melted margarine. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Makes 16.
