Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Karo corn syrup
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. raw peanuts
3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
butter (for cookie sheet)
Preparation

Combine Karo and sugar in pan.
Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved (10 minutes), stirring often.
Add peanuts and salt.
Heat over medium-high heat until nuts are light brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
Boil for 10 to 15 minutes.
Pour baking soda.
(Hold on to your seat!
Will boil up.
Stir fast!)
When it simmers down, pour mixture onto buttered cookie sheet.
Let cool.
