Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. apple cider
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp. whole allspice
    16 whole cloves
    2 sticks cinnamon
    1 medium orange (slices)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a 3-quart saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
    Strain the spices from the cider and pour into serving mugs.
    Serves 8.
