Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. cranberries
    juice of 1 orange and grated rind and boiling water to make 1 c.
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Combine shortening in flour mixture until it resembles corn meal, then pour in all at once egg mixture.
    Stir until just blended, then fold in nuts and cranberries.
    Pour into buttered pans and bake until done at 350\u00b0.
