7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 3/4 large head lettuce
    1/2 c. each: chopped onion, celery and green pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 to 6 oz. hard cheese
    8 strips crisp bacon
    cherry tomatoes (optional)
Preparation
    Shred lettuce into a large bowl.
    Layer onion, celery, green pepper and peas over lettuce.
    Combine sour cream and mayonnaise; mix well.
    Spread over vegetables.
    Sprinkle sugar over sour cream mixture.
    Top with cheese and bacon.
    Refrigerate overnight or at least several hours.
    Decorate top with cherry tomatoes.
