Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

5 Delicious apples
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter flavor shortening
1 c. milk
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Peel, core and halve apples; set aside.
In medium bowl, mix together flour and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Pour in milk; stir with a fork until mixture resembles pie crust dough.
