Bread (White) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. potato water or lukewarm water plus 2 c. water
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. salt
2 small cakes yeast
12 c. flour
Preparation

In a measuring cup, put shortening and add enough water to make 2 cups.
Add two more cups warm water.
To this, add sugar, salt and crumbled yeast.
Mix well.
Add flour until it doesn't stick to fingers.
Grease all over with butter and put in large pan to double in bulk (about 45 minutes).
