Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Sift together 3 times the flour and salt.
Blend into creamed mixture.
Press dough into 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Bake until pale gold (about 45 minutes).
Do not overbake.
Remove from oven and cut into squares.
Store in airtight container.
It is preferable to mix this recipe by hand.
