Pizza By-The-Yard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unsliced loaf French bread
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
    1/4 c. chopped pitted ripe olives
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 lb. ground beef
    4 oz. (1 c.) Cheddar, Jack or American cheese, shredded
    2 tomatoes, sliced
    1 green pepper (in rings)
Preparation
    Cut loaf in half lengthwise.
    Combine tomato paste, Parmesan cheese, onion, olives, oregano, salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
    Add meat; mix well.
    Spread over top of loaf halves.
    Place on baking sheet.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
    Remove from oven; top with tomato slices and green pepper rings.
    Sprinkle cheese on top of tomatoes.
    Bake 5 minutes.
    I cover pizza with foil on first baking so bread does not burn.
    Serves 4 to 5.
