Chiles Rellenos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 New Mexico chile peppers or any thick fleshed peppers such as pasilla peppers
    1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese or white Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. thinly chopped green onions
    1/4 c. chopped fresh cilantro
    1 c. finely crushed tortilla chips*
    salsa
    sour cream
    cooking oil
    1 beaten egg with 1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    *An easy way to crush tortilla chips is to remove most of the chips from a full bag and crush the remaining chips in the bag with your hands.
