Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cold water
1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
3 egg whites
6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

In small pan, mix cornstarch and cold water until blended. Stir in boiling water and cook over medium heat until comes to a boil.
Stir until thick (about 2 minutes).
Remove from heat and let cool.
Add juice to egg whites and beat until stiff. Gradually add sugar, beating well until whites stand in peaks. Add cornstarch mixture all at once and beat until well blended.
