Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. butter
2 1/2 c. peanuts
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Butter sides of saucepan.
Combine sugar, corn syrup, water and butter.
Cook and stir over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is boiling.
Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, to 275\u00b0.
Add nuts and continue cooking to 295\u00b0, stirring often.
Remove from heat.
Quickly stir in soda. Immediately pour onto buttered baking sheets.
Spread as thin as possible.
Cool.
Break into pieces.
Makes about 2 1/2 pounds.
