Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. orange slice candy, cut up
1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, chopped
2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 (3 1/4 oz.) can flaked coconut (1 c.)
1 c. butter (2 sticks margarine)
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. orange juice
2 c. sifted confectioners sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Sift flour and salt together.
Combine next 4 ingredients.
Mix well 1/2 cup flour with mixture.
Toss to coat evenly; set aside.
