Pecan Pralines (Candy) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
pinch of salt
2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. pecan halves
Preparation

In large kettle, combine first four ingredients.
Cook five minutes over high heat.
Stir while cooking so it does not stick and burn.
Add butter and pecans and cook five minutes more or until it forms soft ball in water.
Remove from heat and beat until creamy.
Drop by teaspoon on wax paper.
If needed, add a little water at end if they get too thick to spoon out.
