Freezer Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 medium onions, sliced
    2 qt. unpeeled cucumbers, sliced
Preparation
    Combine sugar and vinegar in small saucepan and cook just until sugar dissolves. Cool, then store in refrigerator. Mix together the sliced cucumbers, salt and onion. Let stand about 2 hours. Drain and squeeze out all water; pack in plastic containers. Pour syrup over pickle mixture, leaving 1/2-inch top for expansion. Cover and freeze.
