Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 c. molasses
    2 eggs (unbeaten)
    4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. sour milk
Preparation
    Combine shortening, spices, salt, brown sugar, molasses and eggs and beat thoroughly.
    Sift flour and soda.
    Add flour and sour milk to first mixture.
    Chill dough overnight.
    Roll out 1/4-inch thick and cut with cutter.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
