Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
3 Tbsp. water
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, stiffly beaten egg whites and water. Mix salt, baking powder and flour together; blend into creamed mixture.
Roll out on floured board; cut into desired shapes. Bake at 350\u00b0 on lightly greased cookie sheet until edges are lightly browned.
Decorate with colored icing or colored sugar. Makes 6 dozen.
