Fruit Cake I - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. dates
    1/2 c. figs
    2 c. brown sugar
    5 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. candied fruit
    1 1/2 c. gum drops
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. walnuts
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine raisins, dates, figs,
    brown
    sugar, butter and water in saucepan.
    Bring to boil and
    simmer
    10
    minutes.
    Cool.
    Sift flour, spices, salt and soda 3 times and add to cooled mixture. Stir in nuts, gumdrops and candied fruit.
    Pour
    batter into Bundt cake pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
