Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can medium carrots
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 medium-sized onion
    1 can asparagus
    1 small can water chestnuts or bamboo shoots
    1 box cheese bits
    1/2 stick butter
Preparation
    Dilute soup with 1/2 cup asparagus juice.
    Melt butter; add chopped onion and carrots.
    Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
    Drain water chestnuts and slice thin.
    Make in 2 layers, ending with crushed cheese bits.
    Cook about 15 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven that has been preheated.
