Macaroon Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. each: baking powder and salt
    6 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. each: cream of tartar, vanilla and almond extract
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
Preparation
    Sift 1 cup sugar with flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
    Add cream of tartar.
    Beat remaining 1/3 cup sugar in gradually.
    Add flavoring.
    Fold sifted dry ingredients into mixture.
    Add about 2 tablespoons at a time. Gently fold in coconut.
    Fill paper lined muffin pans about 2/3 full.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
