Plantation Dump Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry or other pie filling
    1 (18 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
    2 (8 oz.) cans crushed pineapple
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut flakes
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 lb. butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Spoon filling evenly into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle yellow cake mix over filling.
    Evenly distribute crushed pineapple over cake mix.
    Slice butter into 1/2-inch pats and layer evenly over pineapple.
    Sprinkle coconut and pecans over top.
    Bake for 1 hour and check for doneness.
