Prune Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. nutmeg
1 Tbsp. allspice
1 c. corn oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. coarsely cut cooked drained prunes
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the corn oil and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, about 1/3 at a time, blending well after each addition.
Stir in prunes and nuts.
