Patties With Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger
1 onion, diced
1 roll or 2 slices bread
1 egg
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 1/2 c. water
shortening
nutmeg
salt and pepper
Preparation

Soak roll or bread slices in water.
Soak out excess water and mix well with hamburger, onion, egg, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Shape into round patties approximately 2 1/2-inches in diameter. Brown both sides in hot shortening.
Set patties on platter and drain grease.
Add gravy mix and water to pan and cook and stir until thickened.
Add patties and simmer 15 minutes.
