Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 c. water
1 c. milk
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 egg yolks
Preparation

In a heavy bottom saucepan or cast-iron skillet, cook brown sugar and butter over low heat until melted and bubbly; stir until blended.
In blender, combine milk, cornstarch and egg yolks. Blend.
Stir into butter-sugar mixture and cook on medium heat until at a rolling boil.
Pour into 9-inch baked pie shell.
Use the egg whites to make meringue.
