Pork Chops With Cabbage German Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 pork chops (1 inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. water
    3 c. diced tart apples
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    8 c. shredded cabbage
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
Preparation
    Heat 1 tablespoon shortening in large frying pan.
    Brown chops on both sides over medium heat, turning chops only once.
    Add cloves, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 cup water.
    Cover tightly and cook over medium heat 30 minutes.
