Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large squash
    4 medium onions
    2 medium green peppers
    1/4 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Grind in food processor the squash, onions and green peppers. Add 1/2 cup salt.
    Cover with cold water and let stand for 1 hour. Rinse and drain.
    Mix sugar, vinegar and turmeric.
    Boil mixture for 3 minutes.
    Add squash mixture to liquids and simmer for 3 minutes.
    Prepare 6 pint jars and seal.
    This is great with pinto beans.
